The mission of the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention’s Organizational Capacity Implementation Group (OCIG) is to assist federal, state and local public health agencies, including laboratories, to address heart disease and stroke as a priority within a strong chronic disease prevention effort, and develop the needed competencies and resources. The OCIG works with a number of partner organizations to identify and develop resources and training opportunities that will assist organizations in assessing and improving their organizational capacity and professional competencies related to heart disease and stroke prevention.
The identification and sharing of such resources is an ongoing process. The resources listed below represent the OCIG’s first attempt to share resources, tools and training opportunities with National Forum members, partners and other organizations with an interest in heart disease and stroke prevention. We are interested in knowing the extent to which users of this website find these resources helpful. In addition, we solicit your assistance in identifying additional resources and tools that should be added to those listed below.
